More than a
billion people around the world use Facebook groups, and more than 100 million
users are members of significant groups. After the very first Community summit,
Mark Zuckerberg announced the arrival of new tools for group administrators.
The objective? Give users the power to build communities to allow people to get
closer.
According to the firm, this mission is based on the ability
to help the administrators of groups who are the leaders of the communities. To
do this, 5 tools appear:
- Statistics:
Administrators will have access to KPIs on membership and engagement within their
groups, such as the number of posts or the hours when the commitment is
highest.
- A filtering of
addition requests: this new tool will allow group leaders to sort requests
for additions by common categories such as gender, localization, In order to be
able to accept or decline all requests instantaneously. The idea is to allow
administrators to save time on one of the longest tasks to perform.
- An easy moderation: it will now be possible to delete
a person and at the same time all the content it has published (posts, comments
...) as well as the people she has added to the group.
- Scheduled posts:
Administrators and moderators can easily create and schedule posts on specific
dates and times.
- Links between
groups: Administrators will be able to recommend similar or related groups to
their members. A new opportunity to serve the primary objective: To enable
communities to get closer.
