Local businesses now have access to Google posts via Google
my business. They can post messages directly to Google. These publications are
directly referenced on the search engine. Google users access it when they
perform local search only on mobile. They are displayed under local
trade information (name, category, phone, directions, website ...), as shown in
the screenshot below
How to create a Google post?
To post a message directly to Google, go to Google My
Business. In the menu, just under the home, a new tab 'Post' is available. You
will find here all the Google Posts that you have published on Google. It is
also here to get to create.
Google Posts contain an image and a text of 100 to 300
words. You can convert a post in event indicating a title, a start date and an
end date. You can also add a CTA at the end of your Post Google. The
call-to-action proposed by Google are:
- Book
- Registration
- Buy
- I take this opportunity
Simply specify the URL of your choice to redirect users.
Before you publish your message on Google, you can access an overview of the
Google Post. This new format should be of interest to the local shops, which
can offer one-time promotions, introduce new products or share events with the
82% of Internet users who use search engines to find local information.
