Black Lightning, a new DC superhero on us TV arrives in January
Like Marvel and Netflix have unveiled the first episode of The Punisher yesterday, The CW announced Thursday the release of a new series about the adventures of the superhero electric. One dad like no other.
After Arrow, Flash, Supergirl and the Legends of Tomorrow, DC Comics will launch a new heroic Black Lightning series. The protagonist will not do for as much a part of the Arrowverse, which offers us regularly high crossovers in colors between the various characters mentioned previously.

Adapted
from the comic book of the same name, the series tells The adventures of
Jefferson Pierce. A retired hero, he chose to devote himself entirely to his
wife and two daughters for ten years. But when the crime resurfaces in the
city, he is forced to put on his Black Lightning suit, which he has
abandoned for nine years. It is the actor Cress Williams, already seen
in the series Prison Break or Hart of Dixie, which will assume
the role.
The
CW will add in 2018 a new kid to his collection of superhero: Jefferson
Pierce, aka Black Lightning. Its entry on the track announced on
January 16, just after the publication of 'The Flash', series, which
meet a great success.
Nine
years after hanging up his suit of Black Lightning in order to devote
himself to his family, Jefferson Pierce forced out of his quiet
retirement when his daughter is in danger. The metahuman will deploy its powers,
which consist to control electromagnetic fields.

This
superhero role entrusted to Cress Williams, television actor seen in the
series "Grey's Anatomy", "Prison Break" and "Hart of
Dixie". Christine Adams ("Batman Begins", "Terra
Nova") will play Lynn Pierce, his ex-wife. China Anne Jennifer
and Tammy.McClain and Nafessa Williams ("Twin
Peaks") will be their daughter Jennifer and Annissa camping.
"Black
Lightning" will produced by Greg Berlanti, specialist of the
kind on the chain, already behind the success of "Flash", "Supergirl",
"Arrow" and "Legends of Tomorrow". However,
the novelty will be part of their shared universe and excluded from potential
future crossover.
CW also will launch early next year his rookie "Life Sentence", the story of a young woman cancer terminally who discovers that his family is lying to her for ten years. The series has not yet received its broadcast date.
Unfortunately,
we still have to wait until January 16 to be able to watch the Electric Superhero.
The date coincides with the resumption of the other series, following the
winter truce. Perfect for warm hibernation on rainy evenings.
