The Dutch have released a rather cool application called Gulden and which allows to transfer money or to pay its purchases without having recourse to a bank intermediary. Does that remind you of anything?
Yes it is also a blockchain and, you guessed it totally inspired by Bitcoin and other virtual cryptocurrencies.
But if the Gulden caught my attention, it is for several reasons. Firstly in terms of development, the team is super active since 2014 and wallets (electronic wallets) are already available for Windows, Linux and Mac (not yet iOS). And when you create your wallet, you'll get a secret key that you'll need to note down in a corner and keep it in a safe place to make sure you get your money back even if you lose your device on which your Gulden are stored.
Secondly, they are quite active in terms of partnerships and even if it is very limited in the Netherlands, it shows their desire to make it a daily currency that can be used both in Line than at the local merchants.
The other thing is that getting Guldens (code-name: NLG) is possible quite easily with brokers like Litebit or Changelly. Currently, the Gulden is worth in the 0.057 €. It is still far from the 2000 € of the Bitcoin, but as for the Bitcoin, the Gulden also suffers inflation and wholesale (except major glitch) the more time will pass, the more Guldens will be dear.
Well, that's all very well, but that's not what really differentiates the Gulden from other virtual currencies. If in my opinion, this project to the future is because their blockchain PoW² (Proof of Work 2) is really well thought out. Transactions are ultra fast and require only 1 or 2 confirmations to be approved, it is possible to make money work to make profit (much like your wallet A but better) and for the time being Still reasonably "shabby" (from the verb "miner") for those who want.

Finally, the team behind the Gulden seriously looked at the blockchain security weaknesses and managed to solve a lot of problems. It's a bit beyond my technical expertise, but I invite you to consult their white paper on this subject.
What is important to remember is that Gulden, although still at the development stage, is evolutionary over time, will be able to cash up to 4 times more transactions than the Bitcoin, offers a security Reinforced and above all is designed for fast payment. In the long term it will also be possible directly from the application, to make transfers on IBAN accounts or to merchants who want only Bitcoin.
In short, a project of cryptocurrency to monitor loan that may one day be able to compete with the Bitcoin. Who knows ?
