Elon Musk confirmed the production of the first "standard" Tesla Model 3 at the Fremont plant.
According to the announcements made earlier this week, Tesla officially began production of Model 3 on the industrial site of Fremont, California, where the Model S and Model X are also assembled. Through its Twitter profile, Musk confirmed the production of "Unit 1", indicating that it was preparing to undergo its latest tests.
This is Ira Ehrenpreis, an investor in Tesla, who should have received the first copy. But the company decided to offer it to Elon Musk for her 46th birthday (a little late as Elon was born on June 28).
It is therefore a black Tesla initially mounted on 19-inch wheels, that will lead the patron of the Californian brand, who was careful not always to communicate new details regarding the specifications of its electric car "mass market".
